I’m one week into a project I assigned myself this month to shoot something around surfing every day of August possible and make a short film at the end with all the footage. It has been an awesome and challenging experience so far. The goal is to try and stay creative as possible and think of new ways to portray surfing and the lifestyle surrounding it. Some surfers I’ve had the blessing of shooting with so far are: JJ Wessels, Alex Knost, Justin and Nathan Adams and Matt Suckel. Here are some frame grabs from the last 7 days of shooting. I was inspired by Jeremy Cowart yesterday to try some mixed media art. This is really fun and I would absolutely recommend anyone to try it. Here are my first two shots at it, oil pastel on velvet fine art paper then scanned back in and blended with the original image.
